The Visayan Region
The islands on the central part of the Philippines were colonized by the Spaniards around 1600.
Many districts and small towns still have the original stone relic church and school buildings.
It is a fundamentally Catholic population. The most famous feast among the many is that in July called
Sandugo to commemorate the blood compact between the Spaniards and the natives.
